Insurgent history of planning

Leonie Sandercock gave me the name of the blog. I found her in my planning history course lectured by Professor Sofia Shwayri. This planning history course is very much different from others. Unlike conventional planning history courses studying white male planners such as Ebenezer Howard, Le Corbusier and Clarence Perry, this course is about the planning history from the perspectives of women, ethnic minorities and homosexuals.
Sandercock may be the central figure of this movement and she named it as 'insurgent history of planning'. And voila my blog 'Insurgent City'! As the name implies, I would try to be critical to cities and planning today through the blog.
